Get a Girl Attention

  1. Make brief eye contact. Don't stare, and don't avoid eye contact. When your eyes meet hers, hold that contact steadily for a second or two, maybe throw in a grin or a smile if it feels right, and look away and continue with your business. Something as simple as that can show a girl that you're both confident and interested.
  2. Make people laugh. Girls love guys who have a good sense of humor, and the key to having a good sense of humor is to be lighthearted, and unabashedly yourself. As long as you're not making fun of people in a mean-spirited way, anything goes. Is your sense of humor perverted? Slapstick? Sarcastic? Go with it, and don't worry about whether or not she thinks you're funny because you know what? If she can't laugh with you, then this isn't a girl you want to spend a lot of time with anyway. And who knows? Maybe another girl - one who you hadn't noticed before - will be laughing so hard that her soda comes out of her nose, and maybe you've just found your soulmate.
  3. March to the beat of your own drummer. It's hard to grab anyone's attention when you look and act like everyone else. Do your own thing, whether that means standing up for yourself, defending someone else, or taking interest in something that no one else does, like playing an instrument or dancing when no one else will. The coolest people are the ones who break against the tide and make people question the status quo.
  4. Act confident. Even if you're not very confident, you can still pretend that you are, and sometimes the positive results that you get from acting confident will help you build true confidence. The main thing is that you don't want to come off as needy, as if embarrassing yourself in front of her is the most devastating thing that could possibly happen to you. If you're scared of screwing up, it will show in your body language and most girls can pick up on it. So act fearless. Remind yourself that even if you say the wrong thing, who cares? You can laugh it off, and there are other fish in the sea. This kind of attitude will change the way you carry yourself, and that can grab a lot of girls' attention!
  5. Help someone. It could be her, or it could be someone else in the room. Is she carrying something heavy? Say "let me help you with that" and carry it for her. Is someone short on cash? Lend them a few dollars so they can eat lunch. Hold the door open for the next person coming through, even if they haven't reached it yet. In other words, be a kind and generous person. Not only will it get her attention, but it will also make you feel good about yourself. Don't be fake and do nice things only when she's around, though. Help people all the time, in a wide variety of ways. Not only will she notice, but so will the people she knows, and on the occasion that you come up in a conversation, people will say "He's such a great person!" and this girl will start thinking "Yeah...he is, isn't he?

A Great Way to Pass the Time With Your Family

It's Friday night and you decided that the whole family is going to spend some quality time together. As you flip off the TV your kids begin to whine, but you have a plan in place to keep everyone busy and having fun. What is that plan? You invested in a few game tables for your entertainment space.

Game tables offer you and your family a great place to come together and have a great time. How is this possible? Well, isn't it obvious? It offers everyone a nice spot to play different games.

Now, game tables come in all shapes and sizes, making it really easy to find just the right one for your entertainment space. For example, maybe your family likes to play cards, well, then what you could purchase for your space is a larger one that is interchangeable and has felt on one side. It will even come with places to put game chips and drinks. When the card playing is done, you could flip it over to the smooth side that offers a wonderful spot for playing all sorts of board games.

The one just mentioned is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how many game tables are available. Like, you can get ones that are smaller in size that feature chess, checker, and backgammon boards. So, the family could have an intense chess, checker, or backgammon tournament if you wanted. These smaller options are also great for playing cards and those board games as well.

Balancing Work & Personal Life

There are a few key things to look for in determining whether or not you need to assess your work/personal life balance and these are as follows:

* Do you feel like you have completely lost control over your life and you have become overwhelmed with it all?

* Do you feel guilty if you work too much or if you spend too much time with your family?

* Have you recently developed difficulty in concentrating whether at work or at home?

These are all major signs that you need to start looking closely at your work and personal life balance. Not listening or being aware of the signs can cause complete meltdown in all areas of your life. Some people may even suffer such extremes as a nervous breakdown or severe stress and depression. This will in turn create the need to take time off work; neither will you be able to spend quality time with your family.

Wave Of My Life And The Lesson I Learned

I caught a wave and right away dropped a steep face into a tube that had me placed about six to eight feet inside of the break. I traveled in there for about thirty to forty feet and then I came out of the tube, took my board to the lip and did a re- entry and re positioned and went into another tube that went a further twenty feet or so. I came out of that tube and quickly entered another before moving onto the reform and I rode the wave all the way to the shallow water where I stepped off into shallow water.

I quickly went out and shared my wave with my elder brother and it was dismissed as he shared three or so waves he had ridden and so I thought that all I had to show for myself was a fond memory. Getting three tubes in one wave is pretty rare and getting out of them all is even rarer.

Years later I was walking down to the same beach with my elder brother and one of the towns best surfers. My brother was having a go at me and this guy spoke up. He told my brother in all his time on the beach he had not often seen a better wave ridden then the wave he saw me ride one day. I asked him if it was the one with three tubes and he shook his head and agreed that it was.

Tim Curran

Tim Curran is one of the world's most recognised and popular professional surfers whose successful career has taken him all around the world. Wanting to give something back to the sport which has taken over his life, he recently became a spokesman for the 'Surfrider Foundation'.

The 'Surfrider Foundation' is a non-profit environmental organisation that strives to preserve oceans, waves and beaches, and promotes the right of low impact, free and open access to the worlds' waves and beaches for all people through local chapters both in the USA and in Europe. The organisation was started in Malibu, California in 1984 by a small group of surfers who were protesting over threats to their local surf break at Malibu point. Today, there are over 60,000 members and 64 chapters, with affiliations in Japan, Australia, Europe and Brazil.

At the age of eleven, he secured his first sponsorship deal with 'McCrystal Surfboards' and by the age of sixteen he was competing as a professional surfer. By 18, he had been placed on the Surfer Poll for people's choice of "Most Favourite Surfer" in the world; he continued to climb up the professional rankings, placing highly in some of the world's biggest surfing events. Curran is considered to be a pioneer of surfing's aerial revolution and is known for his big, air trademarked manoeuvres.

Curran has maintained a strong religious faith throughout his life and attributes his successful career to his beliefs. Curran's success in the surfing world has also allowed him to make a name for himself in the music industry, and after he took a break from serious surfing competition last year, he threw himself in to his second love: music; touring with the 'Foo Fighters' and recently releasing his first album "Word of Mouth".

The Solo Sport

Longboard surfing is a sport a lot of people enjoy because it is not a team sport. When surfing, your level of skill is entirely dependent on you and how far you decide to push yourself. When first starting out, it is best to start off with a longboard, because longboards are the easiest of the surfboards to balance on. There are many longboards online for sale offering you the best possible deals. A big misconception about longboarding is that there is not much to this sport, and that all you do is stand there and ride a wave. This is absolute nonsense! There are plenty of tricks to perform when longboarding. There is pumping for more speed, turning, a bottom turn where you turn at the bottom of the wave and then back up the face, drop knee turn, cut back, trim, and of course the hang five or ten. Then there is walking the board, you can cross step, shuffle, and walking backwards and forwards. The other great thing about longboarding is the length of the board. You can give your friend or your dog the ride of their life once you get good enough to balance multiple people.
The great sport of longboarding is one that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is an addicting sport to get into, because it is something you will able to do well into your fifties and even sixties. It a lifelong love that can be enjoyed up until your final days on this planet. Not only will you bond with your surfboards, but you will learn how to use them as if they were an extension of you. So if you want to join in the fun and enjoy life that much more, go ahead and look for longboards online, or go check them out at your local surf shop.
